Tiny11: The Lightweight Option for Windows 11 Users

Windows 11 still struggles to convince users: for many of them already on Windows 10, the technical sheet imposed by the operating system remains inaccessible. And the changes brought about by this operating system, even though it is free, are not enough to motivate a hardware renewal.
Because remember that Windows 11 requires users to have a motherboard with TPM 2.0 chip and Secure Boot, but also a 2nd generation AMD Ryzen processor or 8th generation Intel processor. Add to this that the machine must have at least 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, as well as a DirectX 12 compatible GPU.
This configuration, necessary according to Microsoft, to guarantee data security, would be vital for the Windows 11 kernel. However, these limits keep many users away.
However, one programmer has a solution: NTDEV has developed a “Light” version of Windows 11, which is known as tiny11. This version can be installed on machines with a more modest configuration, but also on those that do not meet the Windows 11 access conditions at the level of security modules.
For this, the programmer relied on Windows 11 Pro 22H2 and undertook to delete all superfluous modules and applications from the operating system. This version of W11 does not offer any bloatware. It takes up just 8 GB of disk space against the 20 that are occupied in the normal version, and best of all, it doesn’t require any TPM or SecureBoot chip, it only requires 2GB of RAM and the installation can be done without a Microsoft account.
Still, you’ll need an authentic license key to enjoy this version, which you can download here. Regarding updates, it is still unknown and Microsoft may decide not to deploy security patches in these customized versions of its operating system.
