WhatsApp will stop working on some outdated iPhones
WhatsApp is getting ready to cut off access to its application to some of the older iPhone models. According to data from a recent Apple support update, some outdated iPhones will no longer support the instant messaging application. This information confirms the previous rumor from the folks at WABetaInfo, who suggested that as of October 24th, WhatsApp will no longer support iOS 10 and iOS 11 devices.
The WABetainfo rumor also mentioned that the app has already started to alert iPhone users running the app on iOS 10 or iOS 11. The messaging app has already sent a warning to users informing them that it will soon stop working on their devices. In that case, users will need to update their iPhones to continue using the application.
iOS 10 and iOS 11 are outdated operating systems, and your phone may have already received an update to the latest software. If your iPhone isn’t up to date yet, it’s best to do so now. To update the software, just go to Settings > General and tap on Software update to get the latest iOS version.
iPhone running iOS 10 or iOS 11 are no longer compatible with WhatsApp
Notably, there aren’t many iPhones running these versions of iOS, as the only two models affected are expected to be the iPhone 5 and iPhone 5c.
