Professional window cleaners use water-fed poles to wash windows and facades of tall buildings. A water-fed bar is about 70 feet long and is used for multiple windows at once. The water in the solution consists of ions, which are removed from the glass by the cleaner. As the solvent dries, it will leave the windows sparkling and streak-free. A second, clean cloth is used to dry the windows completely. Finally, they will rinse the glass with clear water.
