TwinSpin centrifugation tubes are initially filled with Density Gradient Medium (DGM). The TwinSpin consists of a standard 15 ml and an inner tube. The in-line strainer tube possesses an open bottom which is immersed in the DGM. The anti-coagulated blood in diluted form or bone marrow can completely be put into a pipette of the TwinSpin. The sample is sighted on the height of the DGM inside the inner tube. During centrifugation, Leukocytes, lymphocytes and PBMCs are segregated from undesirable erythrocytes and granulocytes, depending on the DGM. You can see the effect which is an interphase cell enrichment above the DGM.
