Samsung releases Android 13 for the Galaxy S20 FE

The title of this article does not deceive, Samsung has started the process of making Android 13 available, which in the company is One UI 5.0, for one more device, and this time it is for the Galaxy S20 FE.

The first users to receive the G780FXXUAEVK3 build are those who have their Galaxy S20 FE in Russia, but it is natural that the same update will start to be made available in other markets in the next few hours, or in the next few days.

But according to what is being revealed by the staff of SamMobile, only those who have the equipment with the Exynos chip are entitled to the update. That is, those who have the 5G version of the equipment will have to wait a little longer, as this version is equipped with a Qualcomm chip, the Snapdragon 865.

The firmware includes the Android operating system security patches for the month of November 2022, i.e. the most recent ones, in addition to dozens of new features related to One UI 5. We still don’t have an official changelog, but most of the news should be shared with those of other products that have already updated.

For the Galaxy S20 FE which debuted with One UI 2.5 which was based on Android 10, Android 13 should be its last major update. After receiving the update in question, they should only be entitled to receive the security patches.

And as usual, it may take a few days to receive notification of the new firmware. So, if you want to speed up the update, it’s a good idea to manually check from time to time if there’s anything new, under Settings – Software Update – Download and Install.
