Samsung Galaxy S23 to get a more powerful version of Snapdragon 8 Gen 2

Usually, Samsung’s top products hits the market with Exynos chipsets, which are manufactured by the South Korean company itself. However, there are some exceptions, which are smartphones that are destined for the United States, Canada and China, which usually use the Qualcomm chipset.
After the backlash of the remarkable difference in performance between the two chipsets, Samsung has decided that it will use Qualcomm’s chip in a global participation with its next series of smartphones, the Galaxy S23.
The South Korean giant is rumored to be planning to launch the Samsung Galaxy S23 series with an overclocked version of the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, and now a new rumor has it that it would be manufactured by the company itself, Samsung Foundry.
As is being revealed by RGcloudS, two versions of Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 would come to light. The AC variant would be produced using TSMC’s N4P manufacturing process, while Samsung Foundry would produce the AB version, with its 4nm LPE process.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset includes a Cortex X3 Prime core that can reach 3.2 GHz and it is rumored that the X3 Prime core that would be used in the Galaxy S23 lineup would reach a clock speed of 3.32 GHz.
Qualcomm officially unveiled the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 during the Snapdragon Summit 2022. The new chipset focuses a lot on artificial intelligence and is expected in many of the top Android smartphones that will hit the market in the coming months.
