Apple plans to work on cheaper “AirPods Lite”
When Apple announced the AirPods, then, as usual, a murmur went through the crowd. Several memes have appeared on the web, such as pictures of electric toothbrushes in the ears, and much more.
The smile disappeared because Apple started something of a success story with the AirPods and many other manufacturers imitated the Cupertino company. Today, AirPods are among the best headphones on the market, and AirPods Pro are represented at the top of the list of headphones, even matching brands like Sony and Bose, which work a lot in this area.
But competition is more than a lot, there are many much cheaper alternatives on the market. Now, new information shows that the group is probably working on the cheapest “AirPods Lite”. As is being revealed, demand for current models is expected to drop to 63 million units by 2023, largely because of their high price.
What exactly could differentiate these AirPods Lite from regular AirPods 3 is not yet known. However, Apple could, for example, recycle the design of the original model or offer the first version as a “Lite” version. Let’s see if Apple really puts another model next to the AirPods 3, AirPods Pro and Max, or just lowers the price of the second generation of its headphones.
