Apple to review its strategy for the iPhone 15

The iPhone 14s share the same brand and their screens are the same size (6.1 and 6.7 inches) as the Pro, but in reality they are very different smartphones. The Pro and Pro Max models incorporate the latest Apple technology, with a Dynamic Island, a 48MP camera, an “always on” screen, an A16 chip. The iPhone 14 and 14 Plus, on the other hand, have to settle for the A15 chip, from 2021, and the usual notch, without many changes on the camera side.
However, customers are not fooled: several industry sources have confirmed the lack of appeal of “conventional” models. The iPhone 14 Plus in particular would have been very disappointing in terms of sales. It certainly has a large 6.7-inch screen, but its high price puts it in a bad position compared to the first Pro. Faced with the marked differences between the two ranges, interested consumers preferred to pay a little more and have the best of Apple in their hands.
That’s why Apple may change its strategy again this year with the iPhone 15. At least that’s what the new information indicates. As is being revealed, the manufacturer would thus have two possibilities: either reinforce the differences between the iPhone Pro and non-Pro, or lower the prices of future “entry-level” models.
Price is certainly the most damaging factor for non-Pro iPhones that exceed the €1,000 threshold. For many customers, it’s too expensive to pay for smartphones that don’t have all the latest features… and when the model with all the good things the company offers, it costs a few euros more.
