Apple Drops New Beta Version of iOS 16.4 and iPadOS 16.4, Offering Early Access to New Feature

Roughly two weeks after the release of the first beta version that started the new development cycle, Apple released a new beta version of iOS 16.4, which, as usual, is accompanied by the same versions of iPadOS 16.4, watchOS 9.4, tvOS 16.4 and macOS 13.3 Ventura.

Behind this rush by Apple to release new versions, there could be two different reasons: either the first beta version was really full of bugs, or the company is in a fast pace to try to introduce all the new features already presented, but not yet implemented in the their operating systems.

Before discovering the details of this new compilation, part of a journey that should culminate with the launch of the expected stable version during the winter (based on last year, iOS 15.4 was released in mid-March 2022), we remind you that for the iOS, watchOS and tvOS this is the fourth intermediate development cycle, while for iPadOS and macOS, which were first released stably just a month ago, it is the third intermediate development cycle.

But what’s new in this iOS 16.4 beta 2?

The truth is that Apple has not specified what are the innovations introduced by beta 2 of iOS 16.4, nor iPadOS 16.4. This is the same movement that the company had with the first beta version, but it is certain that there will be something new, in addition to the usual bug fixes and general system performance improvements.
