Did Samsung Overlook the Galaxy S23 FE? Potential Reasons Why

Samsung typically releases an FE (Fan Edition) line towards the end of the year, featuring high-end specifications at a lower price point compared to the main flagships in the Galaxy S line. Despite the launch of the Galaxy S23 earlier this year, it was reasonable to assume that the S23 FE could be released later in the year. However, recent reports suggest that the S23 FE may not be launched in 2023.

Roland Quandt, a reputable leaker, recently took to Twitter to share that Samsung has no plans to launch the Galaxy S23 FE in 2023. However, as we do not have access to Samsung’s internal plans, we cannot confirm this information. There are conflicting rumors about the existence and potential launch of the S23 FE, so we will have to wait for official announcements from Samsung to know for sure.

Unfortunately, Quandt didn’t go into detail, but it’s safe to assume he has some information about this device, as it’s a constant source of leaks. That statement leads us to believe that he may not have seen anything about the S23 FE yet, which could very well mean that it will never exist.

If we look at the past carefully, we can see that Samsung was never really comfortable with the two FE smartphone models it has already launched. These were ‘flagship killer’ type devices and it seems that, for a similar budget, Samsung would prefer users to buy the previous year’s high-end or mid-range device, Galaxy A series, rather than something like that.
