Backbone One – PlayStation Edition now available for Android devices

Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced Backbone One – PlayStation Edition, an officially licensed smartphone controller that is now available for Android and iOS.

After announcing Backbone One – PlayStation Edition for iOS, the company found that many players took advantage of the features of the PS Remote Play application, which allows them to play PS4 and PS5 games streamed from the console, to play on their smartphones with Backbone One, while they were out of the house.

That said, the company rightly thought that Android users were also entitled to have the same gaming experience, and that’s why they just released the same for Android.

According to Sony, this new controller is highly inspired by its DualSense wireless controller, and this is reflected in its colors, materials and finishes, including the transparent front buttons. It matches the look and feel of the PS5, and if you already own the Pulse 3D wireless headset, you can connect it directly to this new controller via its 3.5mm port.

The latest update to the PS Remote Play app, which is now on Google Play, allows for easy setup and playback with Backbone One – PlayStation Edition.
