AirPods Pro 2 features a new H2 Chip for High-performance Connectivity

Apple yesterday held a big keynote where it announced several new products, and among them we have the new AirPods Pro 2, a new pair of headphones that feature a new H2 chip for high-performance connectivity and improve on the sound rendering front. (much less distortion, among other things).

Still on the sound side, these AirPods Pro 2 have personalized spatial audio that adapts to each user to offer the best possible audio experience. The interface is also evolving with touch control (swiping on the headphones to increase or decrease the sound, for example).

The AirPods Pro 2 also know how to “analyze” the surrounding external sounds and can thus automatically reduce the sound level of that background noise without the user having to intervene. Apple advertises that external noise reduction is 2x better with the new AirPods Pro compared to previous models. More interestingly, smaller tips are available… for smaller ears.

The autonomy of this new pair of headphones is 6 hours (a gain of 33% over the previous model), or 30 hours of charging using its case (6 hours more than before). Note that the charging case has a speaker associated with the Location app.
