Android 12L update available for Galaxy Tab S7 and Tab S8 series
After making it available for the Galaxy Z Fold3 and Z Flip3, Samsung has now started making Android 12L available for some of its tablets, namely for the Galaxy Tab S7 and Galaxy Tab S8 series.
The Galaxy Tab S7 and Tab S7+ were launched in 2020 along with the latest Galaxy Note, namely the Galaxy Note20 and Note 20 Ultra. At launch, the tablet was running Android 10. They were then upgraded to Android 11, later to Android 12, and now they are getting Android 12L. As a reminder, the L version mainly focuses on foldable and/or large-screen devices making a better optimization of it.
The availability of Android 12L on the Galaxy Tab S7 and Tab S8 is made with the update to One UI 4.1.1, which is nothing more than Samsung’s own interface. The new one comes with new multitasking features, including the taskbar and a new multi-window gesture. Apps that appear on top of others now also have the option to be invisible when tapping the app in the background.
Samsung will continue to expand Android 12L availability
As always with Samsung, this is a gradual rollout. In this case, the update is initially distributed only in South Korea and France. The other countries will have the same gradually in the coming weeks. However, South Korea did not reveal a precise time on this update.
