Britain’s First Smart Prison

Reducing crime and employing prisoners, know all about Britain’s first ‘smart’ prison designed with smart technology.

 This prison can hold up to 1,700 inmates where there will also be a gym, snooker table, table tennis and computer tablets to impart skills. Britain’s Justice Department said that it is the first prison in the country in which the purpose of providing education, training and employment to prisoners after their release has been set. 

The first ‘smart’ prison, designed with modern technology, was opened in Britain on Friday and is expected to reduce crime. The cells of Her Majesty’s Prison (HMP) Five Wells in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, central England, will be called rooms and inmates will be called residents as part of a rehabilitation process.
