Cyberpunk 2077’s First Major Expansion ‘Phantom Liberty’ to be released in 2023

CD Projekt appears to have won its bet. After a chaotic launch and the delivery of an incomplete Cyberpunk 2077, the Polish studio has completely revised its game to offer a title that is finally worth playing, and finally satisfies the expectations of the players.
On the strength of a hit re-released Netflix series and a “lifesaving patch” 1.6 Edgerunners, Cyberpunk 2077 is reconnecting with audiences and is now surpassing CD Projekt’s expectations, to the point of the studio announce extensive DLC that is in the works, and that will arrive next year.
CD Projekt therefore announced Phamtom Liberty, the first expansion of the game to be released in 2023. But, to avoid the problems of the past, this DCL will only be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and PC. That is, players of the old generation consoles were left out, and as such, it will not reach PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
This seems to me to be a more than adequate move, since the previous generation consoles are delaying the development of games for the new generation consoles. I know that there are many millions of users, but someday they would have to be left behind.
However, not all players will certainly have access to this Phantom Liberty, as CD Projekt has also confirmed that it is a paid extension. The studio has already specified that the extension would be offered for a lower price than the base game, but it is currently difficult to know what the asking price will be.
The expansion promises a lot of content with the return of the main protagonist, as well as Johnny Silverhand and will focus mainly on the Pacifica area, a district very little explored in the original game.
