Firefox 106 Now available for Download

Mozilla has started releasing the stable version of Firefox 106, and with that comes several new features. This is an opportunity to see what the browser offers with this new version.
With the new Firefox 106 comes Firefox View, which appears in the upper left corner of the tab bar. This system helps users get back to content they discovered earlier. A sticky tab lets you find and open recently closed tabs on your current device, access tabs from other devices, and change the look of the browser (with Colorways).
The Firefox View page is divided into three main sections: Tab Recovery, Recently Closed, and Standalone Voices. Tab retrieval requires a Firefox account because Mozilla uses Firefox Sync to display recently viewed pages on other devices in this section.
By making Firefox your default browser, it also makes Firefox your default PDF application on Windows devices.
In addition, you can pin incognito windows to the Windows 10 and Windows 11 taskbar for easy access. In addition, the private windows have been redesigned to increase the feeling of privacy.
Note that the presence of text recognition on images allows users of macOS 10.15 Catalina and newer versions to extract text from the selected image. The extracted text is copied to the clipboard to be shared, stored or searched, without the need to manually retype everything.
Finally, a notable update to the possibilities of WebRTC is present. This allows:
- Lower CPU usage and increased frame rates when taking WebRTC screenshot on macOS.
- Improved RTP performance and reliability.
- Richer stats.
- Improved compatibility between browsers and services.
As always, Firefox 106 is now available for download from the Mozila website, and those who have already installed a previous version just need to update to the new version.
