Firefox 107 is now available for Installation

Mozilla has just started the process of making Firefox 107 available, which is the latest stable version of its browser. This new version, unlike the previous version, does not have many new features, as it seems to be mainly focused on optimizations.

Mozilla says that Firefox 107 provides an instance performance boost when Microsoft’s Input Method Editor (IME) and Windows Defender retrieve the URL of a document targeted with Windows 11 22H2.

In addition, the group discusses energy profiling, ie a visualization of performance data that is recorded from web browsers. It is now compatible with Linux and Macs with Intel processors, as well as Windows 11 and Apple Silicon Macs (i.e. those with M1 or M2 chips).

Some useful improvements have also been made to Firefox DevTools to make it easier to debug web extensions. But this point primarily concerns programmers. As always, Firefox 107 is now available for download from the Mozilla website. This is a small review as we can see. We’ll have to wait for version 108 to get access to new features.

This version is currently available in the beta channel, but Mozilla does not list the new features. As for the stable version for everyone, it will arrive next December 13th.
