Google announces Android 13 Go Edition with new features

Google yesterday revealed Android 13 Go Edition, a new version that is entitled to several new features. Remembering that the Go Edition versions are mainly aimed at entry-level smartphones that don’t have much power.
With Android 13 Go Edition, Google is bringing Google Play system updates to Go devices, which helps ensure smartphones regularly receive important software updates in addition to the major version of Android. Thus, delivery of critical updates will be simple and fast, without compromising the availability of storage on the device.
This release also comes with the new Discover feature, which allows users to swipe right on the home screen to view a list of articles and other content.
The new update also comes with Material You for Android Go for the first time, so users can customize the phone’s entire color scheme to coordinate with the wallpaper. When setting your wallpaper image, you can choose from four matching color schemes. Along with new features tailored to users’ needs, this update comes with some of the key features of Android 13 such as notification permissions, app language preferences and more.
According to Google, smartphones with Android 13 Go Edition will arrive in 2023. The group took the opportunity to announce that there are more than 250 million monthly devices with Android Go.
