Hollywood Star Keanu Reeves Trolled in China

Keanu Reeves is being heavily trolled on Chinese social media. The reason for this is the news which has said that Keanu will attend the Tibet House US Benefit Concert. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Chinese social media users also known as ‘Little Pinks’ are campaigning to flop Keanu’s recently released movie ‘The Matrix Resurrection’ (Matrix 4) in China.

The protest against Keanu has also affected the collection of his film ‘The Matrix Resurrection’. Before the news of Matrix Star joining the concert, the film did a business of 56 crores in China, but after this news, it could collect only 36 crores. However, according to experts, the decrease in box office collection in China will not make much difference to Warner Bros.

Tibet House was established in 1987. This is a private NGO
Just this week it was reported that Keanu Reeves, Patti Smith, Trey Anastasio, Jason Isbell and Iggy Pop will be attending the 35th Annual Tibet House US Benefit Concert on March 3. However, so far no statement has been issued by Keanu regarding this.

Many people banned including Brad Pitt and Katy Perry

Sino-Tibetan has banned many Hollywood celebrities for speaking for human rights or meeting the Dalai Lama. These include names like Lady Gaga, Brad Pitt, Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, Bon Jovi, Björk, Bob Dylan and Richard Gere. China considers the Dalai Lama a terrorist, due to which it remains in an aggressive mode with them.

Tibet House was established in 1987
The Tibet House was established in 1987 by supporters of the Dalai Lama. It is a private NGO that raises its voice for the independence of Tibet and its people internationally. However, China considers it a separatist organization advocating Tibetan independence. After working in the 2013 Chinese martial arts film ‘Man of Tai Chi’, Keanu’s popularity in China increased greatly, but this news has made him a villain in China.
