Microsoft plans to bring ChatGPT to Office Suite

Microsoft: In addition to Bing, ChatGPT will also reach the Office suite.

ChatGPT, or rather Open AI’s GPT AI technology, will be adopted by Microsoft in its Bing search engine, putting Google on alert, which thus gains a strong competitor.

However, this ChatGPT seems to be the new holy grail of software for Microsoft. It is that according to what is being revealed, in addition to Bing, the company from Redmond could take the same to its Office suite.

Conversational AI would therefore eventually integrate into Word, PowerPoint and Outlook software. The objective pursued would be the same as that of the search engine, that is, to replace keyword queries with more or less complex phrases. GPT-3 or GPT-4 (which is not finalized yet) could thus write the mails (Outlook) replacing the user, based on some general indications.

The same would go for Word, the AI then serving as a writing assistant for budding writers (the new version of Microsoft Editor?), or as a plan aid for PhD students or other professionals.

In Teams, AI would be able to summarize meetings via video conference. The possibilities are immense, undoubtedly to the point of profoundly disturbing the use of the Office suite.
