New iOS 15.4  : Face ID with a Mask and Universal Control

Apple has just confirmed that the iOS 15.4 update will launch this week. The opportunity to use Face ID, even with a mask.

Apple spoke for the first time this year during an information-rich keynote about the Apple brand and its future. After presenting four flagship products, press releases followed, giving more details on the Apple brand’s phones, tablets and other computers.

While everyone’s eyes were on the Mac Studio and its Studio Display (the two go together beautifully) Apple made other announcements that went more unnoticed. This is particularly the case with iOS 15.4, the Apple software update should arrive on compatible iPhones next week.

A funny situation when you know that the main feature of this update should be the taking into account of the mask with Face ID. The option will arrive in the week of March 14, when the mask is no longer compulsory… nowhere (or almost). If the functionality was not thought out only for the French and if wearing a mask remains a measure that could resurface in the future, we can only sketch a slight smile in the face of this sequence of dates.

Universal Control finally available
In the rest of the new features that should arrive at the same time as this iOS update (and therefore iPadOS and macOS), the Universal Control feature, presented last June during the last edition of WWDC, will , finally, make its arrival on the tablets and computers of the Apple.

With nearly a year to wait, Apple’s magic option will arrive next week, giving anyone with an iPad and Mac an opportunity to move things from screen to screen. another, just to test this new feature. During its presentation, Universal Control surprised everyone and we can’t wait to find out if everything works as well for us.
