Palworld : 6 Million Copies Sold in Just 4 Days!

Launched 4 days ago for PC (via Steam), Xbox and Xbox Game Pass, Palworld – the hybrid game that mixes survival, monster hunting and shooting phases has just surpassed the miraculous mark of 6 million copies sold. At this breakneck pace, it’s hard to imagine how the studio’s game couldn’t reach 10 million copies. In fact, this phenomenal success proves that presence on Game Pass does not slow down sales (or very little).
On Steam, Palworld attracted nearly 1.6 million concurrent players, making it the third most popular game at the service’s launch, after CS:GO (1,818,773) and PUBG (3,257,248). The studio even talks about a peak of 1.7 million players, probably including Xbox players who purchased the game or are playing via Game Pass.
If we rely on the 1 to 4 ratio between the number of copies sold and the number of concurrent players, we can hypothesize that Palworld is played by 400,000 to 500,000 players on Xbox (mainly via Game Pass), which is in itself a good score over 4 days, but obviously remains well below Steam numbers.

This confirms in passing that PC gamers are more attached to Steam than Game Pass, which basically means that Xbox will likely only be able to rely on Xbox gamers (and therefore the Xbox platform) to grow its player base. Game Pass subscriber data. In other words, Xbox is interested in not giving up on Xbox consoles… if the objective of growing Game Pass to significant proportions still remains.
