Philips unveils monitor with Auto-Framing Webcam and smart KVM

The debut of the Philips 49B2U6900CH in February brings with it a multitude of new features that enhance collaboration and support teamwork in the modern digital workplace. In addition to these new features, this monitor also has a large 48.8-inch display and 5120 x 1440 DQHD resolution for a wide viewing and high-quality setup that would otherwise be two separate displays.
Perhaps one of the most powerful and useful features of the 49B2U6900CH relates to the professional work environment, and it’s safe to say that it’s designed for that.
With features like the adjustable webcam with Auto Framing, as well as a noise-canceling microphone and Busylight, this monitor makes working with teammates around the world easier. By taking advantage of these features, the Philips 49B2U6900CH can adjust the webcam view so that all team members are in the frame during video calls, and what’s more, the webcam can be adjusted back and forth 30 degrees, so professionals of all heights can fit comfortably within the field of view.
In addition to these powerful occupational features, the Philips 49B2U6900CH’s Busylight functionality helps you communicate with professionals working in the same office. Located on top of the webcam, Busylight is designed to communicate occupancy status. For example, when a colleague is in a meeting, the light will automatically turn red. Or, in another scenario, users can press the Busylight hotkey located at the bottom left of the monitor bezel to turn on the red light when they are busy. Professionals can also sync Microsoft Teams status with the 49B2U6900CH’s Busylight.
Introducing Greater Productivity with Smart KVM
In addition to being well equipped for a working environment, the Philips 49B2U6900CH is also adapted for many other tasks. For example, one of this monitor’s new features highlights increased productivity: Smart KVM.
By simply pressing the “Ctrl” key three times, professionals can easily switch between fonts; thus improving an integrated KVM switch for this monitor. Not to mention, the monitor’s unique USB-C cable allows users to easily charge external devices via the power supply.
