Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 Names All But Confirmed Through Leaks

Samsung’s next wave of foldable smartphones is likely to continue its numerical naming trend—with strong evidence pointing toward the names Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7.
Samsung’s Own Leaks Spill the Beans
Hints about the new names have come straight from the source. The first clue emerged when Samsung shared a teaser GIF for its upcoming foldables. While the image itself was cryptic, the file name was not. As noted by Digital Trends, the file was titled:
“Galaxy-Z-Fold7-Z-Flip7-Pre-tease-Bartype_1920x1080.gif”—a not-so-subtle nod to the names of the upcoming devices.
A second, more direct reference was found in Samsung’s Galaxy Store. According to GalaxyClub, a newly listed app named “Samsung Internet Browser for Fold7 and Flip7” further reinforces the expected branding.
With Samsung anticipated to unveil its next-gen foldables this July, the timing of these leaks aligns perfectly with the usual pre-release pattern—where names and software updates begin surfacing just ahead of launch events.
Foldables May Expand Beyond Fold and Flip
This year’s foldable lineup could be more ambitious than ever. Alongside the expected successors to the Z Fold and Z Flip, Samsung is rumored to be preparing:
-
A high-end Galaxy Z Fold 7 Ultra – a more premium version of its book-style foldable, potentially aimed at power users and to rival high-spec Android competitors.
-
A budget-friendly option, possibly named the Galaxy Flip FE, which could make foldables more accessible to a broader audience.
Although these two additional models haven’t appeared in any name-specific leaks yet, it wouldn’t be unusual for Samsung to reuse the “Z Fold” or “Z Flip” naming structure even with new product categories. A recent example is the Galaxy S25 Edge, which was introduced under the existing Galaxy S family branding.
With the launch likely just weeks away, we can expect more details—including specifications, pricing, and design—very soon. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 Ultra, if real, could bring even more high-end features to Samsung’s already advanced foldable series, while a Galaxy Flip FE would help Samsung fend off budget-friendly competition.
Stay tuned for Samsung’s official announcement this July—it looks like foldables are about to get a lot more interesting.
