Sony announces the “new” LinkBuds S “Earth Blue”

Sony has announced the new LinkBuds S “Earth Blue” model, Sony’s smallest and lightest truly wireless noise canceling earphones, which are made from water dispensers.

In terms of functionality, they’re the LinkBuds S we’re all familiar with (my review here), but the new “Earth Blue” model uses recycled resin material, produced from plastic water dispensers.
The LinkBuds S is a pair of headphones that offer you a new concept of use and provide the best of both worlds.

They’re perfect for staying connected to your online and offline worlds all day long, thanks to their ultra-slim, lightweight design with natural ambient sound. They combine LinkBuds’ innovative surround sound technology, which allows you to interact with the world around you, with high-quality noise cancellation, allowing you to focus solely on your favorite content.

The earphones feature Adaptive Sound Control, an intelligent feature that adjusts ambient sound settings depending on where you are, creating the ideal listening experience. As ways of interacting with sound diversify and evolve, such as enjoying music and games through headphones or participating in video conferences, Sony will also continue to develop the LinkBuds series and use them with applications from other partner companies to ensure optimized sound experiences for customers that reflect today’s lifestyle.

The material was originally developed by Sony in search of a new expression of design, with the aim of expanding the potential use of recycled materials from water dispensers and taking advantage of the adhesive properties. The resulting material in the “Earth Blue” creates a beautiful unique marbled pattern, making each individual product present a different pattern.
