Sony to Focus on Next-Generation PlayStation 6

Sony may be skipping the rumored PlayStation 5 Pro to focus on the development of the next-generation PlayStation 6, according to rumors and analysis from YouTuber RedGamingTech. The company has reportedly recruited a hardware designer for the upcoming console, which is said to be in the hands of Mark Cerny. This decision could free up Sony’s resources to work on the PlayStation 6, including implementing partnerships, developing hardware and software, and marketing the console globally.

With rumors of a second-generation PlayStation 5 already circulating, it is possible that Sony has abandoned plans for a PS5 Pro or PS5 Slim. This would give the company more time to develop its next-generation console and meet the high expectations of its fans.

Meanwhile, Sony has updated the PlayStation 5 with several new features, including Discord integration and 1440p VRR resolution. The company is also said to be working to prevent Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision-Blizzard, fearing that it could impact Call of Duty on its consoles.

While the launch of the PlayStation 6 is still a few years away, Sony appears to be laying the groundwork for its development. The company’s focus on the next-generation console could result in a more powerful and innovative gaming experience for players.
