Windows 10 Faces Serious Problems with Latest Patch: Performance Issues, False Reports, and More

The latest patch from Microsoft is causing serious problems for Windows 10 users, according to various reports. The March patch KB5023696 is causing performance issues, high CPU usage, Blue Screen of Death crashes, and false reports that the update has finished installing when it is still in progress. This could potentially result in corrupted files if the update is interrupted mid-flow. One user even reported that their laptop died completely after accidentally shutting it down in the middle of the update.

These problems are not new for Microsoft, as Windows 11 users also faced nasty bugs with the March cumulative update. The issues with Windows 10 and Windows 11 have left users frustrated and concerned about the quality of Microsoft’s updates. In addition, there have been ongoing reports of installation failures with meaningless error messages. Microsoft needs to do a better job of addressing these issues and providing more informative error messages.

Overall, it has been a bad month for Microsoft, with SSD slowdown problems for Windows 11 and a range of issues for Windows 10. Users are hoping that Microsoft will take action to improve the quality of their updates and address the ongoing problems.
