World Liver Day Tomorrow: 1 out of 4 people in America suffer from Fatty Liver due to Eating more Junk Food, it also threatens their lives

World Liver Day is on 19th April. Liver problems are increasing in America. These days, one in every 4 Americans is suffering from the problem of fatty liver. Of the more than 260 million adult population of the United States, about 64 million non-alcoholic youth are at risk of developing fatty liver. This problem has happened due to their habit of eating more junk food and unhealthy food. This has been named Non Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD).

This disease is not detected in routine health checkup. At the same time, initially there are no special symptoms, but after a few years the right side of the stomach starts swelling. It is so dangerous that there is a risk of death with liver failure. The American Health Association has told about this. In this, the method has been given to detect the disease.

40% of America’s 100 million youth are victims of NAFLD

Dr Paul Dule, a diabetes expert at Region University, said that it is the most common liver disease, which is causing millions of deaths. 40% of America’s 100 million youth suffer from non-alcoholic fatty liver problems due to overeating.

Doctors argue that people who already have diseases like diabetes, obesity and high blood pressure are at higher risk. Many people may also have this disease genetically. NAFLD is developing rapidly due to poor diet, type-2 diabetes and eating unhealthy food.

Fatty liver patients reduce weight up to 10 kg

People with NAFLD are advised to have liposuction surgery followed by a biopsy. This is the only treatment, but it is expensive. At the same time, it is advised to reduce the weight of at least 10 kg and eat healthy food and exercise daily. Early detection of the disease is important, as it can also lead to a heart attack.
