Anterior cruciate ligament rupture or simply cruciate ligament rupture is one of the most common sports injuries. The anterior cruciate ligament is one of the most important joints for knee stability. Injury to the cruciate ligament occurs during the rotational movement of the knee when at the same time the corresponding limb remains fixed on the ground. It can occur either in contact with the opponent or during the abrupt landing after a jump or fall.
