Apple Releases iOS 15.7.1 and iPadOS 15.7.1

Apple just started the process of releasing the new iOS 15.7.1, and iPadOS 15.7.1, which are operating system updates designed for older iPhones and iPads unable to run iOS 16 and iPadOS 16.
As always, updates are also available for those who have chosen not to update their iPhone to iOS 16, and who wish to remain on version 15 of the operating system.
iOS and iPadOS 15.7.1 updates can be downloaded to eligible iPhones and iPads over-the-air by going to Settings > General > Software Update.
The truth is that both iOS 15.7.1, and the same version of iPadOS, should have already been released, however, its release had been delayed because during the beta testing period, it was discovered that the update was doing cause Face ID to stop working on some devices. Apple has probably managed to fix this issue and has now released the update.
iOS 15.7.1 and iPadOS 15.7.1 address serious security flaws
This new version of iOS resolves a long list of vulnerabilities, including a kernel vulnerability that Apple says may have been actively exploited, so all users should update as soon as possible.
