Motorola announces the 125W Moto GaN

Motorola has announced a new charger, the Moto GaN, which has a maximum power of 125W. It is a portable charger that costs 249 yuan in China, which when converted gives about 34 euros.
This new gallium nitride charger supports a protocol that is unique to Motorola itself. The 125W peak power allows the charger to charge the Moto X30 Pro from 0 to 50% in just 7 minutes. In addition, this charging adapter comes with support for QC 3.0 and PD 3.0 charging protocols, and it also supports QC 5.0 protocol.
The integrated ON semiconductor control chip reduces the size of the charger. The housing is made of fire resistant material with a matte finish.
The Moto GaN charger comes with a 1m USB-C data cable, which is made of double-sided conductive aluminum foil and flame-retardant TPE material, and supports current up to 6A.
In addition, Motorola’s new charger is certified by China’s 3C certification agency. Thus, users are assured that they will have access to a variety of safety protections such as overload, overheating and short circuits. The charger takes safety and stability into account when operating at full power.
We currently do not have any information on whether Motorola intends to market this product internationally.
