HBO Max reveals premiere date for “Pelosi in the House”
HBO Original documentary, Pelosi in the House, produced and directed by Alexandra Pelosi premieres December 14 on HBO Max.
In her 14th documentary for HBO, acclaimed documentary filmmaker Alexandra Pelosi offers a candid, behind-the-scenes look at the life of her mother, Speaker of the United States House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi, through the events of her career leading up to the inauguration of President Joseph Biden, January 2021. Filmed in cinematic style over three decades, “Pelosi in the House” offers a unique, longitudinal look into the life of a Democratic politician and history in the making.
The documentary explores highlights, following Pelosi’s life in public office from her election to Congress in 1987 and becoming the first female Speaker of the House in 2007, to the 2020 election. Following Pelosi both at work and at home in real-time during political moments in the country’s recent history, the documentary offers a unique look at American politics through its efforts under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, the for COVID-19, as well as a record of the events of January 6, 2021, following Pelosi and other lawmakers in a safe place as the crisis unfolded.
