Prime Video announces a ‘God of War’ Series

Prime Video announces the production of a God of War series, which will naturally be based on the famous PlayStation video game franchise.
The fact that a God of War series exists may not be all that surprising. In fact, there was already some unofficial information about this possibility, including discussions between Sony Pictures Television and PlayStation Productions.
It is worth remembering that the games come from Santa Monica Studio, a company that belongs to Sony, and its most recent title is God of War: Ragnarök, which was released last November for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 (our analysis here) .
The series will follow Kratos, the God of War, who, after exile from his bloody past in ancient Greece, hangs up his weapons forever in the Norse realm of Midgard. When his beloved wife dies, Kratos embarks on a perilous journey with his son to scatter her ashes from the highest peak – his wife’s dying wish. Kratos soon realizes that the journey is an epic quest in disguise, one that will test the bond between father and son and force Kratos to face new gods and monsters for the fate of the world.
It will be a live-action series, that is, in real shots and not in animation. There is still no information about the cast, as well as no date for its release.
