Spotify implements the Android 13 Media Player in its Application

Apparently, the One UI 5.0 interface of Samsung Galaxy smartphones still does not use the new media player design. Like other apps like YouTube, YouTube Music, Google Podcasts and others, Spotify is also adapting to the Android 13 design language.

A few weeks ago, the Spotify app received support for the Android 13 media player, but only in the beta version. Now the music streaming platform finally launches this novelty for the stable version, that is, for all users.

With the most recent version, which has the number 8.7.92.521, the Spotify application offers all users of the service support for the new multimedia player.

The new media player introduces a number of visual changes to the application, starting with the rounded square buttons for playing and pausing, to the “previous song” and “next song” buttons that are positioned at either end of the play bar.

By default, there are buttons for shuffle and like, but you can also add two buttons of your choice. Also new is when playing a podcast, as the previous/next buttons are replaced by 15 second rewind/fast forward buttons, and the shuffle and like buttons are replaced by buttons to speed up playback and add podcast to your library.
