Opera’s Unlimited Free VPN Finally Comes to iOS

In 2016, Opera created a stir by announcing the integration of a free, unlimited VPN into the Windows version of its browser. Little by little, Opera made a point of offering its VPN on more platforms. Since 2019, for example, users of the Android application can take advantage of this browser service.

Since then, Opera’s VPN has come to Linux and Mac, and iOS is just missing. Well, good news, that is no longer the case. In fact, Opera announced in a press release the addition of the VPN service in the iOS version of its browser.

“We know that doing, well, almost anything online has become increasingly risky lately. Whether you’re at home or connected to a public network, your web traffic and browsing history are accessible and vulnerable[…] That’s why VPNs have become an essential part of online life: they protect your identity and the their activity”, writes Opera.

As the company makes a point of remembering, this feature is completely free. There is no need to sign up, log in or install an additional extension. To activate it, just click on a simple dedicated button on the main menu to surf anonymously.

The company specifies that it is a tool without registration, in other words, none of your personal data, information related to your history or address of your home network are collected by them. By the way, Opera lists in its press release the new features recently integrated into the iOS version of its browser. With the My Flow feature, users can also keep photos, articles, recipes, travel ideas and various links just a click away.

Through the latest update, Opera for iOS has also added a “Favorites” feature, which allows you to better organize your online life by instantly accessing your favorite websites. Football fans can check the results of the day’s matches in the “Live Results” tab.
