If you use Google Chrome, it is crucial to promptly verify whether your browser is running the latest version, especially as of December 15, 2023. A critical update has been released by Google to address significant security vulnerabilities in Chrome 120. While this update doesn’t introduce functional changes to the application, it is imperative for resolving identified security flaws.

Google Chrome 120 came with various enhancements, including security improvements. Nevertheless, specific versions may exhibit vulnerabilities or be susceptible to new security threats. It is strongly recommended to take immediate action. While Google Chrome typically has an automatic update feature, we advise users to independently check if they are running the most recent version.

Regarding the aforementioned Chrome update, an examination of the official release notes reveals that Google engineers have successfully addressed nine security flaws. These vulnerabilities, reported with a high level of severity, primarily pertain to Use-After-Free (UAF) issues in components such as CSS, WebRTC, and libavif.

As of the current information, no attacks exploiting these vulnerabilities have been detected. Nonetheless, it is highly advisable to keep your browser updated for optimal security.
