“Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget” releases on Netflix today

The highly anticipated follow-up to the beloved 2000 classic “Chicken Run,” titled “Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget,” has made its debut on the Netflix streaming platform today, on December 15th, courtesy of animation studio Aardman.

In “Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget,” a courageous flock of chickens joins forces to thwart a disturbing new threat: a farm involved in suspicious activities. Having escaped Tweedy’s farm and cheated death, Ginger fulfills her dream of discovering a tranquil island sanctuary for everyone, far from human-related dangers. Ginger, along with Rocky, welcomes the arrival of Molly, a newly hatched chick, making Ginger’s happy ending seem complete. However, a grave new peril looms over the entire chicken species on the continent. Now, Ginger and her team are determined to safeguard their kind, even if it means jeopardizing the hard-won freedom they’ve attained.

Directed by Sam Fell, “Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget,” is a stop-motion animation film produced by Aardman Animations, StudioCanal, and Pathé. Serving as a sequel to the 2000 blockbuster, the film continues the legacy of its successful predecessor.
