Firefox 122 is now available for download
On Tuesday, January 23, 2024, Mozilla launched Firefox 122, the latest version of its web browser. The new version arrives with a series of improvements, including improvements to privacy, security and performance.
One of the main new features of this Firefox 122 is the new “Privacy Protection” feature, which helps block third-party trackers. The feature is active by default and can be customized in the browser settings.
Firefox 122 also improves extension security. Extensions now run in an isolated environment, which reduces the risk of malware and other attacks.
Additionally, Mozilla’s new browser includes several security fixes to protect users against known vulnerabilities. Mozilla is also working on a new security feature called “Data Protection”, which will be released very soon.
The company reveals that this new version of Firefox is faster and more efficient than previous versions. The browser now uses less memory and CPU, which can improve the user experience on resource-limited devices.
In addition to the improvements mentioned above, Firefox 122 also brings the following new features:
- Machine translation improvements: Firefox now offers more accurate and consistent translations.
- New customization options: Firefox now allows users to customize the appearance of the toolbar and other browser elements.
- Support for new web features: Firefox now includes support for new web features such as CSS Grid and WebAssembly.
As always, Firefox 122 is now available for download. Users can update to the new version from the Mozilla website or their device’s app store.
