Samsung Patents Multi-foldable Laptop

Samsung files a Patent for a Multi-foldable  Laptop

This unique Samsung laptop can be folded once like a normal laptop, while the second time it can be folded to make it smaller, which is providing the look of a folded paper.

Laptop will fold like Paper

After the foldable smartphone, now South Korea tech company Samsung is reportedly preparing to bring a foldable laptop soon. According to the latest leak, the company has patented a unique laptop, which will fold not once but twice. Once it can be folded like a normal laptop, while the second time it can be folded to make it smaller, giving the look of a folded paper. At the moment, only it is reportedly patent approved, but it is not necessary that it should be introduced in the market soon by the company.

Letsgodigital’s latest report informs that Samsung has filed a patent for a two-fold foldable laptop. In the report, the design of the laptop that folds twice has been introduced through the picture. This patent picture reveals that this laptop can be folded once and closed like a normal laptop. After closing the laptop, this unique laptop will once again get the facility of folding from the middle.

The keyboard of the laptop is divided into two parts with a folding hinge in the middle, so that users can fold it one more time according to their convenience. The screen of the laptop will also have a hinge in the middle, which will help it to fold for the second time. At the same time, Samsung’s foldable OLED panel will be given in this laptop.

After the screen and keyboard are folded (normally the laptop is closed), the laptop keyboard can be folded along with the screen. Which in the end will give the paper folding look and this feature can make the laptop very small in size, which will make it very convenient to carry it from one place to another. However, this laptop can be quite thick once fully folded.

Another interesting Feature of this laptop would be its production cost as the technology applied to make it fold twice won’t come cheap.

However, the Samsung has just got its patent approved which doesn’t really mean Samsung is currently working on this or has a plan to introduce it in the market but the concept seems intriguing
