Tesla record sales in the 4th quarter of 2022

Despite the fall in shares and investor concerns, Tesla continues to make good progress: the electric vehicle maker has announced its delivery figures for the fourth quarter of 2022, and this has undoubtedly delighted Elon Musk.
Thus, with this announcement we learn that Tesla delivered 405,278 electric vehicles in the fourth quarter of 2022, which is a new sales record. The increase in sales in one year is frankly impressive, as in the fourth quarter of 2021, Tesla delivered 308,600 vehicles, which was already a very good score. The sales figure for the fourth quarter, however, does not fully satisfy the analysts, who counted on the delivery of approximately 418 thousand vehicles.
Tesla delivered more than 405,000 vehicles in just one quarter
Model 3 and Model Y sales account for the majority of those 405,278 vehicles delivered (308,600 Model 3 and Model Y). The remainder of sales are due to the Model S and Model X (17,147 vehicles). The company’s good numbers were obtained in a particularly complicated context, between the Covid crisis in China, concerns about the supply of some components, the sharp drop in the share price and the hiccups of the Shanghai Gigafactory.
