Vivo Y22 Officially Announced with Low Price
Vivo is one of the many smartphone makers that seems to want to follow in the footsteps of Xiaomi and Samsung, that is, flood the smartphone market. Interestingly, this is the manufacturer of what is, for me, currently the best Android smartphone on the market, the Vivo X80 Pro. Now, the company has announced a new smartphone, the Vivo Y22.
This is yet another mid-range (low) device, in which its focus seems to provide equipment with a low price. For that reason, the company has equipped it with a 6.55-inch LCD screen with HD+ resolution and 90Hz refresh rate.
As it is a low-cost smartphone, it was already guessed that the Vivo Y22 would arrive with a low-cost chip from Mediatek, which in this case is the Helio G85, which is accompanied by 4GB of RAM with 64GB of storage, or 6GB of RAM with 128GB of internal storage. In both variants, you can expand the internal storage via a microSD card up to 256GB.
Its battery has 5000mAh with support for 18W fast charging, and it leaves the factory running FuntouchOS 12, which is based on Android 12. In addition, it has IPX4/X5 certification.
For photography we have a dual camera system at the rear, where the main sensor has 50MP, and which is accompanied by a 2MP Macro sensor. On the front, we have an 8MP sensor.
Vivo Y22 Pricing and Availability
The smartphone was officially announced in Indonesia and we do not know for now if the company will make it available in other markets. There, it is available in the color variants Starlit Blue, Summer Cyan and Metaverse Green and with a price of the equivalent of 162 euros.
