TP-Link launches the wall version of its EAP650 access point integrated into the Omada SDN

TP-Link launches the wall version of its EAP650 access point integrated into the Omada SDN ecosystem.

The new Wi-Fi 6 hotspot joins the Omada SDN ecosystem to provide maximum coverage and connection speed in any environment and is ideal commercial solution to guarantee  reliable Wi-Fi coverage not only in our homes, but also in hotels, hospitals, shops, restaurants and any other business.

By being compatible with Wi-Fi 6 technology, this equipment allows the connection of a greater number of connected devices that, at the same time, will enjoy faster speeds without reducing network efficiency and with lower latency. This is particularly important in high-density environments, such as the hotel sector, with secure room-to-room connections; offices and meeting rooms with faster, interference-free streaming, downloads, video conferences; or restaurants and bars with stable, fast and secure connections that improve the customer experience, among others.

The dual-band EAP650 achieves speeds of up to 574 Mbps simultaneously on 2.4 GHz and 2.402 Mbps on the 5 GHz band, for a total Wi-Fi speed of 2.976 Mbps. In this way, TP-Link guarantees complete Wi-Fi coverage, from corner to corner, with strong, fast and stable signals in environments with high network density.

The new TP-Link wall access point integrates with the Omada SDN so it can be managed locally or centrally and remotely from the cloud via the web user interface or the Omada app, available for iOS and Android. The Omada SDN platform allows users to know the status of the network at any time and in real time, check network usage and change its configuration, analyze and resolve potential problems and receive reports, among other functions.
Strengthening security – another argument for keeping information safe

The network will be protected against any attack or breach thanks to the authentication of captive portals such as SMS, Facebook WiFi and vouchers; enterprise-grade WPA3 encryption and segregated guest networks with up to 16 SSIDs. Multiple authentication options ensure that authorized guests can access the network without compromising your security. All these measures rely on the highest quality wireless security technologies.

The EAP650-Wall has a Gigabit port to which computers, printers, televisions and many other devices can be connected by cable. In addition, this access point facilitates flexible and convenient deployment without the need for additional cabling, thanks to its support for PoE 802.3af/at power. Just plug the device into your existing Ethernet cables to start enjoying all its connectivity benefits.

Designed to make installation as simple as possible without the need for technical staff, it is compatible with standard 86mm and EU junction boxes, allowing it to be mounted on the wall using the bracket provided. In this way, those who opt for the wall-mounted EAP650 not only save space, but also add elegance to any room.
