Microsoft Word introduces game-changing AI-powered writing assistance, revolutionizing document creation and collaboration

Word is undoubtedly one of the word processing software in the market. If most of its functions are accessible through a combination of keys, one of them, and no less important, is still missing: copying and pasting text without any formatting.
Microsoft announced on its blog that this keyboard shortcut is finally available in beta versions of Microsoft 365 for Windows and macOS users.
Until now, to paste plain text copied from a document in RTF format, for example, it was necessary to paste the text in its original format (text font and size), then click on “Paste options → Keep text only” in the contextual menu that appears, or the “Clear All Formatting” button on the Word menu.
Most experienced users of word processing software know that it is much faster to use the Ctrl + Shift + V key combination, especially since the latter is available in most competing productivity applications such as Google Docs, LibbreOffie, and just to name a few.
The omission of Ctrl + Shift + V seemed a bit anachronistic to me, as this functionality is essential in everyday life. If the majority of Internet users use the menu bar to change text formatting, others, the most productive, prefer, as much as possible, to keep their fingers on the keyboard. Surprisingly, pasting plain text is possible in other Microsoft software such as Teams and even the web version of Word itself. That said, the Windows suite of utilities has yet to be embraced by the mainstream and is not a model of stability and accessibility. By finally supporting this feature, Microsoft is trying to unify the user experience across its productivity suite.
