Google’s New AI Can Comprehend Over 1,000 Languages

After OpenAI’s successful ChatGPT, Google is reportedly working on a new project to create an artificial intelligence system that can comprehend over a thousand languages. While the search giant’s chatbot is still in development, this new project is said to be in progress, marking Google’s continued interest in AI advancements. The technology is expected to have various applications, from improving language translation to helping bridge communication gaps across different cultures. While details about the project remain scarce, it is clear that Google is making strides to develop cutting-edge AI that could potentially revolutionize the way we communicate globally.
This fully polyglot AI, even stronger than a Spock or a C-3PO, is above all a language model based on a machine learning-type learning mechanism. This engine has been trained with no less than 12 million hours of speech and 28 billion phrases from 300 languages, enough to reach a certain expertise, even in rare and little-spoken languages in the world.
Google remains committed to artificial intelligence
Now super-trained, the artificial intelligence would be able to learn any new language offered to it, in record time. This new multilingual AI from Google can be presented in detail during the next Google I/O that will take place next May.
