Most Powerful Passport 2022: Japan and Germany’s Passports Tops the Best
Henley & Partners, the organization that issues passport rankings, has released the Henley Passport Index for 2022. Japan and Singapore are the passport toppers once again. Citizens of these countries can travel to 192 countries without a visa.
South Korea is tied with Germany in second place and Finland, Italy, Luxembourg and Spain are all together in third place
North Korea’s passport is ranked 104th, Somalia’s 106th and Yemen’s 107th in the ranking. Whereas, the ranking of Pakistani passport is 108th. Pakistani citizens can travel visa free only in 31 countries. After Pakistan, Syria is at number 109, Iraq at 110 and Afghanistan at 111.
First Know: How Ranking Is Determined
This ranking is released at the beginning of every year. According to the website of Henley Passport Visa Index – Realtime data is updated throughout the year. Changes in visa policy are also taken into account. The data is taken from the International Transport Association (IATA).
The ranking is decided on the basis of how many other countries a passport holder of a country can travel to without obtaining a prior visa. For this he will not need to get a visa in advance.
