1 Dog At A Time is a group of volunteers who are dedicated to rescuing Romanian street and stray dogs and finding them loving homes here in the UK. We have a shelter in Romania where the dogs are kept safe, warm, have regular meals and given lots of loving care and attention. 1 Dog has funded dog neutering programmes and education programmes in local schools, which are essential for the long term.
Activities include arts and craft, games, sporting activities and camping. We organise external people to give talks either on our premises or at their own premises such as Police dog handlers, Police helicopter, RSPCA, Fire Brigade, A drive in a 4 wheel drive vehicle over an assault course.
The Charity provides support for the care & treatment of sick, injured and abandoned dogs leading to dogs finding homes & therefore improvement in animal welfare. Support and advice is also given to adopters who have given homes to rescue dogs from Cyprus. Fundraising to support grant applications for the work which is ongoing in Cyprus and to provide emergency vet treatment and rescue backup.

Working in Retford and the surrounding area, we work to conserve and preserve the hedgehog species by:a) providing first aid, treatment, and rehabilitation to sick, injured or orphaned hedgehogs with the aim of releasing them back into the wild wherever possibleb) educating the public about the care, conservation and habitat of hedgehogs.

We are a foster based rescue we take in dogs from the public,dog wardens and local council pounds. We assess the dogs at home for a minimum of 2 weeks and then we place them into suitable foster homes until they are ready for their forever homes (many need vet care so they stay in foster until cleared by the vet) we use boarding kennels when we don't have suitable fosters available
To promote the permanent preservation for the benefit of the inhabitants of the village of Sawston and neighbourhood of its natural flora and wildlife. To establish a museum devoted to the history of Sawston.

To relieve the suffering of horses, foals and ponies and in particular to provide and maintain a sanctuary for such unwanted animals and treat the sick or ill. To provide a good quality of life for our charges, and develop a role for them within the community, for the benefit of the wider public. We have a policy, where appropriate, to re-home suitable horses or ponies.

To relieve the need of people with disabilities who are in need of assistance through the provision of a suitably trained assistance dog and to train and educate them along with those responsible for the care and welfare of such persons in the use of such assistance dogs and to provide such additional services and facilities for their benefit as the trustees deem appropriate.
We rescue & rehome Bull Terriers; supported by volunteers across the UK, we assess dogs & vet potential homes. We rehome directly from people's homes, or where necessary dogs are placed in foster homes before rehoming. We rely fully on donations & fundraising to provide the veterinary care & ongoing medical care that many of these dogs require. We promote good dog behaviour & Ownership.
