As part of the wider RAF Air Cadets - we act as a resource for young people up to the age of 20 living in the City of Sunderland. We aim:To promote and encourage a practical interest in aviation and the RAF.To provide training which will be useful both in the Services and civil life.To foster the spirit of adventure.To develop qualities of leadership and good citizenship.
Our Scout Group offers young people aged 6 - 14 an opportunity to gain Skills for Life via a structured programme of challenging and exciting fun-packed activities in the Bilborough area of Nottingham (where we are based) and beyond, doing our best to ensure their safety at all times. We believe in 'Scouting for All' irrespective of ethnicity, faith or special needs. All are welcome!

Our group is part of the Scout Association and provides a meeting place for young people to take part in scouting activities as part of the programme provided.

Our Scouting provides Activities each week for young people from the ages of 6years to 14years.They have the opportunity to attend Camps(experiencing Kayaking,Horse Riding,Swimming,).and also to go on visits and outings as well as helping them to acheive confidence and build up social skills.

We run six units, Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, Beavers, Cubs and Scouts, from our Scout Hut in Mitcham. The children attend weekly meetings where they work towards badges which help to make them aware of their environment and to care for others. Camping and fund-raising are among the many activities in which the children are involved.

The 11th Romsey (Kings Somborne) Scout Group operates in the local area as part of Romsey District Scouts. The Group works to enhance the development of young people and is governed by The Scout Association (national) guidelines.
