Our charity, operating in Sheffield, is a Scout Group within The Scout Association. Our aim is to provide Skills for Life to young people through an enjoyable programme of indoor and outdoor activities. Helping them to achieve their full physical, intellectual, social & spiritual potential. As individuals, responsible citizens and as members of their local, national & international communities.
Scouting activities for young people between the ages of 6 -18 years
Supporting the activities of scouts, cubs and beavers. Provided in an owned scout hut. Which is maintained.

CAMPING, HIKING, ABSEIILING, ETC., WEEKLY SECTION MEETINGS WHERE FIVE ELEMENTS ARE INCORPORATED INTO THE PROGRAMME AS RECOMMENDED BY THE SCOUT ASSOC.
Scouting organisation
Education including Young Leader training, basic life support. Faith activites, including attending church. Recreation including canoeing, camping, climbing, abseiling, football, games. Scouting activities including knots, backwoods cooking, badge work.

Scouts helps children and young adults reach their full potential by developing skills including teamwork, leadership, initiative, planning, communication, and self-motivation. We are the UK's biggest mixed youth organisation offering 6 to 25-year-olds fun and challenging activities, unique experiences, everyday adventure and the chance to help others so we make a positive impact in communities.
Training young people
Scouting - Beavers, Cubs and Scout sections.As Scouts, we believe in preparing young people with skills for life. We encourage our young people to do more, learn more and be more. Each week the 8th Aldershot (Church of Ascension) Scout Group gives young people of Aldershot and the surrounding area the opportunity to enjoy fun an adventure while developing the skills they need to succeed.
Provides a safe, secure environment in which to learn and extend skills needed for life, including team work, leadership domestic, practical as well as the knotting, camping, map reading ect that everyone immediately thinks of when Scouting is spoken of.

EDUCATION AND SPORTING ACTIVITIES PROVIDED FOR YOUNG PEOPLE THROUGH THE SCOUTING ASSOCIATION
Scouting actively engages and supports young people in their personal development, empowering them to make a positive contribution to society. We do this by offering weekly meetings in our Scout Hut and at weekend trips, camps and events. We follow a program of badges, awards, challenges and adventurous activities enabling our Young People to develop essential life skills.
