Scouting exists to actively engage and support young people in their personal development, empowering them to make a positive contribution to society.Activities are provided to members aged 6-14 years, and guided by the following values: Integrity, Respect, Care, Belief and Co-operation
Scouts take part in activities that contribute to the community and improve life chances. The selection of activities and experiences is based around three main themes: outdoor and adventure, world and skills. Our sections have use of a designated facility which is also used by the local Guide Unit.
The Group admits young people (aged 6 to 14) to membership, and is subject to the policy and rules of the Scout Association. The purpose of Scouting is to promote the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potentials, as individuals, as responsible citizens, and as members of their local, national and international communities.
The 1st Bourne End Scout Group is organised into two Scout, two Cub and two Beaver group, each run by volunteer warranted leaders who meet weekly for planned scouting activities. An Executive Committee is elected annually by the parents and has overall responsibility for the objectives, policies and organisation of the group. These follow the Policy organisation and Rules of the Scout Association.

1st Boxford Scout Group - Consisting of a Beavers, Cubs, Scouts & Explorer Group, meeting once a week in school term time.
Girl Guide Association. Fully accredited member of the Girl Guiding Association formed by Royal Charter.

The objectives of the Group are as a unit of the Scout Association promoting the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potentials, as individuals and as responsible citizens. Activities include arts & crafts, challenges such as orienteering, educational visits, camps, as well as group activities such parties and family events.

Scouting
We are a guide company working in a small village with young girls aged between 10 and 15 years of age. We work through the guide syllabus on various challenges to gain badges. We try to get involved in our local community, provide enjoyment and fun and help them make friends for life.
A balanced programme of adventurous, educational and craft activities, based around the physical, mental and spiritual development of young people from 6 to 18 years, the main aim being to help members grow up to be good citizens.
As Scouts, we believe in preparing young people with skills for life. We encourage our young people to do more, learn more and be more. Each week, the 1st Bramhall Scout Group give young people of Bramhall the opportunity to enjoy fun and adventure while developing the skills they need to succeed
