SCOUT GROUP
Provide Scouting Activities for children ages 6 to 14 as a part of the Scout Association primarily based in the village of Dinas Powis, Vale of Glamorgan. The hall is also used for other community groups use. Due to its age the group is also known as 1st Dinas Powis Scout group
Scout & Guide Group Activities include Camping, Cooking, Crafts, Woodcraft, Entertainment and allother things connected with Scouting & Guiding.

As Scouts, we believe in preparing young people with skills for life. We encourage our young people to do more, learn more and be more. Each week, the 1st Ditton Scout Group gives young people of Ditton the opportunity to enjoy fun and adventure while developing the skills they need to succeed.

Scouting actively engages and supports young people in their personal development, empowering them to make a positive contribution to society. We deliver this through providing Young People with opportunities to develop Skills For Life, adventurous activities and fun. The Group operates from Doddington Scout Centre, within Fenland District, in Cambridgeshire.

The Group has active and dynamic Beaver, Cub and Scout sections catering for young people aged between 5.75 and 14.5 years from the surrounding area. The sections undertake a wide range of activities in pursuit of the Scout's Top Awards schemes.

THE PURPOSE OF SCOUTING IS TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF YOUNG PEOPLE IN ACHIEVING THEIR FULL PHYSICAL,INTELLECTUAL,SOCIAL AND SPIRITUAL POTENTIALS, AS INDIVIDUALS, AS RESPONSIBLE CITIZENS AND AS MEMBERS OF THEIR LOCAL, NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITIES.
1st Duddon (Dalton Church) Scout group currently caters for young people aged between 6-14 years old via a Beaver Colony, Cub Pack and Scout Troop. The group aims to develop its members by using a progressive training system, involvement with other youth organisations and community projects.
